We are thrilled to announce that Inovotion is part of the Wings of Change project, funded by NC3Rs, to revolutionize ecotoxicity testing and reduce reliance on animal models. This initiative aims to develop New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) for assessing chemical toxicity in birds—paving the way for a more ethical, efficient, and sustainable future in regulatory testing.
Inovotion brings its pioneering Chorioallantoic Membrane (CAM) model to the project, providing a non-animal alternative for chemical safety evaluation. Led by the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ), the project unites experts from Inovotion and ibacon GmbH. The project is backed through the NC3Rs by industry leaders BASF, Bayer Crop Science, Corteva, and Syngenta. By integrating in silico, in vitro, and in ovo approaches, Wings of Change will help replace traditional avian toxicity tests, making risk assessment 3Rs compliant and scientifically robust.
” Via Wings of Change, Inovotion ambitions to be a key player in modern ecotoxicity testing, leveraging on its ground-breaking CAMs technology platform.” Jean Viallet, CEO of Inovotion
We’re proud to contribute to this transformative step toward non-animal testing in ecotoxicology.
